Minimarkt Amsterdam

On one of my our walks with the Bugaboo, we bumped into this cute little store. From the outside it looks more like a cafe targeted for moms and children (they have a special area to play!), but the best part is that it has the most adorable baby store at the back!

At Minimarkt you can find good known brands such as Aden & Anais and Petit Bateau, with other up and coming brands like Nº74, Nobodinoz, La Cerise Sur Le Gateau..

I am completely in love with this teepee!!! It would look perfect in Diego´s room! ;-)

Almost on the corner of Beethovenstraat with Apollolaan, its not only great for parents with kids, but also if you need to buy a present!

Why not.....a baby bump photoshoot?

Apart from a couple of selfies taken in bathroom mirrors, I don´t really have any pictures of me and my growing baby bump. So when my colleague Marlou suggested me to check out Maud Fontein´s website and showed me some of her pregnancy photo shoot pictures, I was convinced!

I immediately booked an appointment with her and it turns out I had already met her once before! Our guys are good old friends! (small world!!)

Maud is not only very sweet and makes you feel at ease but is also very professional, and makes incredible pictures!

She also does Newborn and Children photo shoots, so I have already booked her to make some pictures of the baby somewhere during his 10 first days of life! (Apparently, this is when they are the most photogenic!) :-)

Keeping in shape during pregnancy: Yoga and Pilates

I´ve always been a fan of Pilates and just before my pregnancy, I was hitting the studio 2-3 times a week. But during the first trimester I was too exhausted to exercise at all, so it wasn´t until the second trimester that I felt like doing any other thing than cycling to and from work every day.

My lovely Pilates studio Bodyvita did not have any group lessons for pregnancy Pilates and the private training session is a tad expensive so I had to look for alternatives. I tried several studios in Amsterdam but I´ve narrowed it down to my 2 favorites and where I usually go for my preggy lessons:

Joyful Yoga - the pregnancy classes are small, cozy and you stretch, get full of positive energy, meditate, and receive a mini head massage, all in 1h15! Natasha gives these fantastic classes on Thursday afternoons (18:30) and Saturday mornings (but I must confess these are toooooo early for me at 9:30...)

Anna Mora Pilates Studio - the pregnancy lessons are always full and the teacher Lacey, is lovely and full of energy. They are also not too early in the morning (10:45), so there is no excuse to not attend!

TIP: Download the MindBody app, where you can book your classes in all of the above mentioned, or if you don´t live nearby, it will show you the nearest studios to your home!
